I won’t lie; it gets cold and lonely most times on our journey to pursue our dreams. Be strong because, sometimes, the people we call friends or family won’t be available to offer a shoulder to lean on, and that can create a vacuum that needs to be filled. Disappointment can be hurtful, especially when your expectations are placed on the people you love. High expectations sometimes trigger disappointment. Don’t expect too much from people; they are humans and are bound to make mistakes. When tough times set in, you definitely need someone who understands and is willing to walk with you in your distress. Many will approach but few might stay in your circle.
The Winning Mindset
Becoming who you really are takes time and requires patience, innovative work, and persistence. As humans, we can be fragile sometimes due to past failures in a journey we embarked on. Do not let it discourage you. Every step taken in your quest to achieve your dream is commendable. Learn to appreciate little beginnings because out of it comes the process that propels you to the apex of your career. Build on what you have, don’t wait for the approval of many to get started. The tough times we face in our journey make us resilient and prepare us for any field we find ourselves.
It is not easy, but what you can’t do is give up on your dreams. There’s progress in the pain. Keep crawling when you fall. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall; brace yourself up and keep crawling till you arrive at your final destination. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
